Angry Often cannot talk to another caller on Treo 700P

I received my Verizon Treo 700p for Christmas. I love its features but numerous times, either when originating or receiving a call, the other party cannot hear my voice.

I can hear the person I have called, or the originating caller, but the other party cannot hear my responses. I do not have the phone on Mute.

Any help?

welcome to treonauts cubetter the situation discussed by LotusLord is a common one to 600 650 700 700w w/x and probably every treo because as far as I know they are still using the cra*** headphone jack and it causes problems like that it gets stuck after you use it and the device thinks that something is in the jack which does not allow sound o the speaker.. You can try putting the headphone back in a jostling it around or carewfully very carefully sticking apin or something similar in and sometimes you can get it to switch back to normal but you gotta be very careful.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Unfortunately, I have never used the jack. This appears to be a problem with the phone speaker, ?

After several recalls, I can usually get the person on the other end of the call to hear my voice. This occurs with placed calls and received calls.

My husband is so aware of this - we have an agreement to let me keep trying to call until we get a successful hookup.

Ok, then I'd try a headset, either bluetooth or wired. See if that resolves it.

Welcome to Treonauts, Cubetter! Are you using any type of ringtone manager? Several of the Ringtone managers have had bugs in older versions that take sound away. If you have any other phone apps like TakePhone, UltimatePhone, RngrSwitch, PhoneSwitch, Phone Technician, etc. try moving them one at a time to the card and then try calling someone and see if they can hear you. If its a third party conflict or just a third party app, then check to see if you have the latest version of that app. Regardless, I would then try a clean install of that app.
