Rebooting when a call comes in - Treo Forum

Hey folks,
Has anyone encountered an issue where the phone reboots when a call comes in? It is happening to me quite often. WHen I check the ##377 it shows a "lota" Fatal Exception from 2 days prior, so there des not seem to be a log of what caused the reboot. Any ideas?

What phone do you have? The 700wx or the 700P?

Do you have any third party phone apps working? (Takephone, UltimatePhone, Phone Switch, Phone Switch, etc.).

I saked cause I was confused. You have 700wx on your information and posted on a 700P. Now, stuartrayner beat me to the punch. Are you running those apps.

Does it even ring?

My phone is doing the same thing. I do not have any 3rd party applications on it. It stared doing this a couple of weeks ago. The phone does not even ring but I know that someone is calling (my husband called me on the house phone when he got a busy signal on my cell). What can I do????

If you are not getting any sound at all, and have used a wired headset, it is probably a problem with the headset jack. You can fix this by simply reinstalling the headset jack firmly and crisply a couple times. If this is not the issue, then I would recommend trying a warm reset and seeing if that helps. Sometimes preferences get corrupted, but it is less likely since you don't have any third party apps. If you are getting resets similar to the OP, then I would recommend you get a trial of SafeGuard and see if it can diagnose what is causing the problem. Good luck and let us know how it works out.
