Sync questions-

I'm sure this has been asked and answered already but I always still have trouble syncing w Outlook 2003. Help me with some problems:
1. Duplicates...how to fix and prevent
2. What if I make some changes on laptop and some on handheld, will syncing yield the correct, up to date version on both devices?
I get mixed up with the handheld overrides desktop, etc. Where do I do that, on my Palm or on the Palm desktop software settings? Do I change it each time depending on where (laptop or Palm) I've made changes recently?
3. If I have more than one contact folder in Outlook, how do I specify which folder to sync with? And should I create one blank folder for Phone version of Contacts? (bc in my laptop contact folder I link emails, docs with contacts, etc. there is a lot of stuff and I don't know if it will mess up when syncing with the phone).

This is something I have avoided really addressing thoroughly for two years but I have had so many problems that had to be resolved by a hard reset and ended up with old versions of data, no calendar, etc. that I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS CORRECTLY AND QUICKLY.

There are several freeare duplicate removers for Outlook that you can download and run on your PC. "outlook duplicate" in Google gives you plenty of options.

Ok, I think Ben answered the duplicate issue, so I'll try the other issues.

The changes on both the laptop and the Treo should not be a problem IF you have the conduit in the HotSync Manager set to Syncronize and not Overwrite, see HotSync/Custom settings on the PC.

I'm fairly certain that you can only Sync one folder of Contacts, Calendar, ToDo, Notes Outlook folder to the Treo, usually thru PocketMirror. So if you're trying to sync multiple contact folders then I think you'd need to combine/copy them by creating a new profile in Outlook and syncing to that profile which you'd use PocketMirror Settings to identify it.

If you're using Agendus or some other app, you could Categorize the different contacts by some affilliation/group/company to separate the previous contact folders.

I don't know if that helped or not, but I may need more coffee after thinking about this.
