Using Keychain GPS receiver and Google maps - Treo Forum

I've read about the new keychain GPS receivers, and have Google Maps on my 700P. If I get one of those keychain GPS receivers, will it work with Google Maps? Specifically, will it provide voice-directed directions? I don't want to have to view the screen of the phone to get directions; I want to hear them out loud. Will the combination of the GPS keychain receiver and Google Maps do that?

No. There is an add-on piece that will allow you to use Google Maps with the GPS receiver, but it won't "follow" you while you are driving or give voice prompts. If you want that kind of functionality your going to have to purchase a map set from someone.
