Exclamation Accidently Deleted Contacts!

Help Please!!!!

I THOUGHT I was in the files application moving things around on my SD card files...there was a .prc app I tried to open to see what it was (I have downloaded several apps recently) and got a message saying there was no viewer to open .prc file.... I know you know what's coming....I thought it was a download gone bad and deleted it.

Then noticed my incoming calls today have no picture, or the ringtone assigned to them...then I tried to open contacts and get a blank page!

It wouldn't let me add a new one either! I get message like this..

Error:dm: MemError in Item Folder::e(ContactsDB-PAdd)

I have since tried a soft reset and hot sync hoping the stuff fm pc would fill it back up...no luck, although while it still shows up a blank white screen, it WILL let me enter a new contact?

Does anyone know how to put all my stuff back automatically, or do I need to try to enter them all manually by looking at the file on my desktop? Also, do you have any idea if my file got replaced by the hotsync/soft reset so that it will even keep the contacts now, if I enter them new again?

Wow...Sorry such a long post...just wanted to give all info to help some wonderful person get me an answer!

OUCH!!!!
Have you been syncing your Treo w/ either Palm Desktop or Outlook on your PC (if so your contacts will be there)? Do you have a backup program (such as NVBackup) installed on your Treo that backs up to your SD card? If you do or have either of these , you can either Hotsync with you PC and get your contacts back or do a restore from your last Treo backup.

If the answer to either of these is "no", then I think your only option is to re-enter them one-by-one. Sorry.

You might try a hard reset. Then when you hot sync, it will ask you if you want to create a user account or use and existing(It will read it as a new unit). Select exixting and type in the user name you have been using. If you are unsure of the user name go to hotsync prior to hard reset and the user name will be in the upper right corner. It will take quite awhile for this hotsync as it will be reinstalling everything. I would only do this as a last resort.
