Error Authenticating Code - Treo Forum

Hey guys,

I am new to this community, first post.

I just recently updated my 700p to version 1.10 with Verizon Wireless.

It now, no longer says Verizon Wireless in the top left corner of my phone and when I try to make a call it goes to an automated voice saying "We're sorry but we are unable to authenticate your code at this time."

I tried *228 to re program it and it re programs successfully, but the problem is still there.

I tried calling VzW, but they have no idea....

Anybody, please help... I would really appriciate it. Thanks.

Have you done a soft reset? If so, you may need to do a hard reset. Make sure you back up before you do the hard reset if you have to do that.

I will try that now, but I am not sure that is going to help....

It seems like there is some MSID or some code that has been screwed with in my phone and now can not be verified by VZW.

If that does not help, do as LL said. Complete a hard reset. The update will still be there, but it should clear any issues you may have.

Complete a hard reset. The update will still be there, but it should clear any issues you may have.
