![]() | Well, after a hairy few days of trying to install my third party apps, I finally solved one problem to be face with another. When hotsyncing (just since yesterday..fine before then) I get the error message that Hotsync operation was terminated. Some of your data was NOT backed up. An application on the PC failed to respond to the HOtsync operation initialization notification. This aplication may need to be restarted. I (rather stupidly, in retrospect) downloaded SEVERAL apps at the same time from an e-mail attachment to myself and all the programs work great. However, while the hotsync worked great BEFORE the install, now I get the error above. I have fiddled around and moved apps from internal to card and also moved some around using the os desktop on my pc (possibly not the smartest, I know) so now I am not really sure WHICH files were installed to try the "uninstall and re-install one at a time to see which may be the problem" answer. Also, since error says problem on PC end, I thought about saving backup folder then uninstalling and re-installing os desktop, but can not find the backup folder or hotsync log on pc now. HELP?????

![]() ![]() ![]() | You have probably done this already, but reboot your PC and do a soft reset on your Treo. Try to resync and see what happens. IF you want to see you hotsync log, click on the hotsync icon, then click on view log and select your phone. It should open it up on IE window. Now you can see what programs did not sync. |

![]() | I did indeed do the soft reset, I also tried moving the cable to all available USB ports, and re-booted the PC. I opened the log the first time I got the message and could not see an individual program that did not open. The next several tries, I could not find the log again...it seemed to have disappeared... What I finally did was uninstall the most recent download which did not fix the problem. After that I uninstalled, then re-installed the OS and it works again, so now I guess I will try to install the programs one at a time and try a hotsync after each one. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question!!
