Sprint Treo 700p Update 1.10

Please forgive me if this thread has been posted elsewhere.

On September 20, I installed the new updater as noted at Palm - Support - Sprint Treo 700p Update. Unfortunately, it crashed my Treo 700p. I had fully followed the download and install instructions for Windows Vista with SD card as posted at Palm - Support - Sprint Treo 700p Update.
I had to take the phone to my local Sprint store for a “Battery, POST, Repair.” According to Sprint eTicket Work Order, you “will pay up to $55.00” for the service. Since the Sprint technicians could not repair the phone, I was offered a Treo 700wx as a replacement phone. But I declined the offer.

If you don’t have insurance or a warranty on the phone, you may want to evaluate the risk of installing the updater. Otherwise, you may have to pay the full price for replacing a crashed Treo depending on the status of your service agreement with Sprint. If I had to pay for a new phone, I had seriously considered dumping Sprint even though I would have been hit with a $200 contract cancelation fee.

I had to wait three working days for the 700p replacement. The replacement Treo 700p came with the 1.10 software installed. I don’t know if it is a new phone or a rebuilt one. It works just fine. No crashes and no prolonged key latencies. With the updater, it is the most stable and fastest Treo I have owned. I previously owned about three Treo 650s, some of which would sometimes crash or reboot numerous times. This is my third Treo 700p.

I was using reverse bluetooth dun

I fixed it though I forgot to change the Idle timeout to never.

Do you know of a High speed secure proxy server that would work for blazer? Dir the Reverse dun

Opera mini closes when I enter a URL so I use blazer

Oh and the BETA is slow connecting
