![]() | 700p headphone jack doesn't work after ending a call I had the 700p windows version.. and i hated it, so i traded back to palm OS... I had the same issue w/ both versions....After ending a call using a wired headset, the next call either in or outbound cannot hear me on my headset. I have to take out the jack and put it right back in for them to hear me. I thought it was a windows issue.. seems like a 700p issue. Never had a problem w/ my 650 Palm OS. Any fixes out there? Anyone? i've tried 3 different headsets and gotten the same results. |

![]() | I am pretty new to Treos (and by the way, this is my first post also), but I guess I will start off the troubleshooting of your problem by asking: You specifically state that "the next call either in or outbound cannot hear me on my headset", but don't mention whether you are heard on the device's internal microphone. Also, I do not know if it matters, but are you using a standard headset, or the stereo headset? Perhaps PTunes (or whatever you use for music) is actually disabling the mic. |

![]() ![]() | Welcome azdaryl and dmoltrup! Azdaryl it seems there's somethin up with you headset or Treo as this isn't normal - I use a cheap Panasonic mono headset with my Treo when I'm desk bound and have had zero problems with my 700p (quite the opposite to my BT experience). Try using the headset in a friends phone and if you have access to another headset try that in your phone. Then we can figure out where the problem lies. Also have you updated the firmware in your Treo 700p...it just came out and does solve a number of issues (sadly your potential isn't one of them). Regards, ~ Steph

![]() | I have had similar problems to azdaryl. After using a mic/headset unit (and then unplugging it) the 700p's built-in mic and speaker usually won't work for about 3 hours. During that period the headset won't work either. If I just let the unit sit there like a lump for 3 hours it will start working again on its own. Sometimes, before 3 hours, the mic only will work and sometimes the speaker only will work but it takes a l-o-o-o-n-g time for both of them to begin working again. This has now happened 5 times in my first month of ownership. |
