Updating Tom Tom 6 POIs - Treo Forum

How do you update Tom Tom 6's Points of Interests. I looked up a restaurant the other day on the Tom Tom and it said I reached my destination but the restaurant was no where to seen and the number that Tom Tom provided was disconnected.

I also looked up another address for a restaurant but it changed it address about a year ago and Tom Tom was still giving me directions to the old address.

Well I hope there is a way to update the Tom Tom directory because the POI function would be useless if it keeps taking me to old of date addresses.

You can add/edit your own POI's but I don't think you can alter the built in ones

could you make updates to the POIs? For example I noticed that there is nothing in the POIs for grocery store or for a regular store like Target or WalMart. I tried to look for the nearest target in LA and there are more than a few. And the only thing that turned up on the Tom Tom was Target Tire Repair. Seems kinda weird that the little shops turn up on Tom Tom but the big ones are no where to be found?

There are sites that have POI files for shops, petrol stations, etc. so just download one and copy it to your SD card
