VersaMail Problems with Deleting Email Messages on Yahoo Server - Page 2 - Treo Forum

This is my first palm with internet connection. Before I just synced my palm with my pc. When I first started using the 700p I didnt have the problem but it was because I didnt empty my trash. Once I started emptying my trash I realized it kept downloading emails that I just deleted.

So as it stands right now (which I just figured out), I would have get my mail on my phone, delete any unwanted messages, not empty my trash, go home, download my emails from the server and then be able to empty my trash from my phone.

Everyone seems to lover Chattermail. Will it let me delete messages including the trash and not redownload them even if they are still on the server?????

No. That's just the way they're designed. Anything in the inbox gets downloaded.

Alrighty. I guess I just have to make sure I download all my emails every nite.

At least I dont have to buy anything else.

Right! I use the Yahoo! web mail interface (I've been using the beta) as my primary email composer on the computer, so I just leave them on the server. I use Versamail to check my email while I'm on the road and it works well, I just don't get to see my spam in all it's glory. When I know I don't want it anymore I'll delete it from my phone, which deletes it from the server. If it's something I want to keep, I'll just wait till the end of the day and move that email to another folder, then delete it from my phone. It takes a few days to get into the habit, but it eventually becomes second nature.
