Handsfree calling via Blutooth Headset? - Treo Forum

I have a Motorola BT Headset/earset that came as part of a package with my 700P from Verizon. The thing works like a charm, but I can't initiate a call out from it, only receive incoming calls. I looked around the software section and picked up Voice DialIt. The App works well and has an "initiate Headset dial" feature that I have yet to figure out so I still have no dial out voice capability from my BT headset.

Anyone have a good solution? I'm not afraid to spend money to buy good software, or maybe a better headset. Any help is appreciated.

As of right now there is no software that supports initiating a voice dial directly from the bt headset. Makes no sense.....

With all of the present software you have to initiate the voice dial from a hard key on the phone itself.

That is sort of what I was afraid of. Seems odd that no third party has addressed this issue to date.

i have a 700p and have tried several bluetooth headsets with it. they all seem to work fine, but within a minute or so of terminating a call, i hear a sound and they disconnect. i noticed this on my 650 as well, and on 4 manufacturers of bluetooth headsets.

Help!

I use a Motorla H700 it does the same thing except once in a while it would totally disable the internal microphone as well rendering the phone useless. To fix it only a HARD reset would work followed by a hotsync.

I've given up on having the headset work, but it works perfect with my in car Motorola IHF1000.

I've noticed that a few people here on the message boards were able to get their treo to work with motorola ihf-1000 car kit. I'm having problems with mine. I cannot make a call out on the unit. I can voice dial, but the call is not routed through the system. However, when somone calls me, I can recieve that call through the car kit. I've called motorola and they were no help, neither Sprint.
