Changed housing now microphone not working - Treo Forum

I have a Treo 680 and my housing was cracked badly, so i changed the housing. I followed all directions and i put it back together. Now I can hear the sound when it comes on, it rings, everything works as normal except when i receive a call the caller can not hear me. so now i can only talk on my phone through my bluetooth or headset. Can Someone help me please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like a loose connection or a pinched wire somewhere internally. open 'er up and give it a look.

i opened it up and the motherboard is attached back correctly and the microphone seems to in correctly. do you know where i can find a picture of the microphone, so i will know exactly how it is suppose to be inside of the phone ?

Brandon thank you so much for the link, but i made sure the microphone was in the correct place, and still callers can not hear me. I may have to get a new microphone.

yeah that would worth a try. If that does not work there may be something wrong with the motherboard

if the motherboard was damage would the microphone be the only thing not working? because everything else works as normal. just the callers can not hear me when i put the phone to my ear or speaker phone. but when i use the bluetooth or headset they can hear me.

I wonder if the Treo thinks you still have a headset plugged in.

i read somewhere else that you should use a toothpick and move around alittle, because of a switch in the headset could think the headset was still in. i have done all that and it still will not work.
