Exclamation Problems after making or recieving calls

Hey Everyone,

new to this forum. I am having a pretty huge issue with my palm treo 680. When i call someone and they pick up, it will not allow me to talk or hear the other person. Everything is silent. The option buttons to speaker phone and group call do not show either. Just hold, mute, and the num pad buttons are shown. i have updated the phone with the new update, completely erased all data from the phone and taken to at&t and nothing is working. I have only had this phone 1 year. Has anyone else had this problem or know a way i can fix it? I would greatly appreciate it. I dont want to have to swear off palms already...

Have you used a wired headset at all? The headset jack is notorious for failing on these things and causing somewhat similar issues.

as a matter of fact i did try to use it on Saturday night... i usually never use it. the next morning it stopped working... if that is the case, what can i do to fix it?

You can stick the headset back in and pull it in and out and it might reset or kind of jostle it around and it may reset. When I got the 650 I used the heaset once or wtice and then decided after reading about all the trouble s that it wasnt worth taking a chance. Ihave a BT headset samsung wep500 in the ear and use it while in the car and maybe around the house some.

Cool. I will try that tonight and let you know. Yea it has to be something like that... nothing else is wrong with the phone at all except this and i have only had it a year... let ya know

I had the same problem and fortunately contacted support prior to 30 days being up and had the 680 replaced from the supplier.

You were right, it was stuck in headset mode. I plugged the headset in and out a couple times and it eventually reset. Thanks.
