Unlocked Treo 680. Rogers.Internet not working. Please help. - Treo Forum

Quick notes:

1. Regardless of what I do I cannot access the internet. At all. No browsing, no email.
2. I have a data plan.
3. I had rogers re-provision my sim card/account.

What do I need to do to connect this thing via GPRS?

Can anyone please help? I'm about to lose my mind.

I would recommend calling your carrier and having them walk through reprovisioning your phone. There is something not right if you can't access the internet. If that doesn't work, then you might have a hardware malfunction.

Welcome BEEEsH...sorryt o hear of your woes.

It's not just the sim card it's the various setting you'll find in Prefs | Network that need to match Rogers service access setup.

I'm with Sprint in the US and my Prefs | Network has

Service: Power Vision
Username and password setup

I bought the 700p form ebay and when I went to sprint I remember I had to type in a bunch of that stuff.

Mind you this CDMA phone has no sim so maybe that stuff is already setup on your SIM?

So far no luck, but I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and figure things out.

I think its different for GSM sko, but thanks for your post.

Does anyone think this could be a simcard issue?

Are there new kinds of simcards? I haven't changed sin cards in a very long time.

Quick update:

-It was rogers. They had screwed up all along. I had them re-provision the card and they seemed to get it working.
