Motorola headset problems

I'm new to this forum but have had my 680 for over a year. I love it!

My husband got me a Motorola 700 headset in February and everything was working great with it until last week. Shortly after ending a call, my headset started beeping. I thought it was low on battery and plugged it in to charge it. The next time I went to use it with my phone it wouldn't connect. I can go through the pairing process and the headset will blink as though everything worked but when I go to make a call, the headset doesn't work. My husband paired it with his BB and it works fine. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Bluetooth on the 680 has been an adventure since day one. I've had similar experiences with my Moto S9 and my Scala 500. I've concluded that BT on the 680 has short term memory loss. Therefore I never turn BT Off on the phone, BT on 24/7. I know the battery will be taxed because of this, but I'll charge up rather than have to pair the device I need to use every time. The headset can be turn on and off at will just as long as the Trusted Devices has the headset in it's listing.

So to your problem, I'd delete the device from the Trusted list, Soft Reset, and then with BT On, pair the headset per the Moto setup specs. If the 680 resets with BT Off then you'll probably have to re-pair the headset, thus if at all possible leave BT On 24/7. It's a PalmOS vs Bluetooth love/hate relationship.
