Treo syncs itself after failed device registration

Hello - New to the forum, enjoying it so far!
I have an unlocked ATT treo 680, using it through T-mobile.
When I tried to register through the "My Treo" bluefish-run app via Tzones, my treo kept syncing ("My Treo sync") and wouldn't register. When I canceled it, the sync activated itself and this will no doubt drain my battery! How do I turn off this nuisance?

A soft reset will clear any freezes or hangs and I think in case this HotSync loop. So take the battery out for 30 seconds and then reinstall it and Wait. When you get to the screen for Time and Date, set the time and date Manually, ie. set the Auto Set to Nothing, this helps conserve battery power. I'm not familiar with the registration process on Tmobile but if possible try to do online or at a Wireless Store.
