![]() | Hi, Hoping someone can help me. I use Versamail on Treo 680 (AT&T) - was checking email today and received an error message (can't remember the error number or I would look it up) about files being corrupted and I lost ALL my saved emails (in various folders). Does anyone know how to retrieve them - I try syncing but that didn't work. I'm assuming the saved emails are only saved locally? Hopefully I still have some of them on my laptop. Thanks. |

Your emails are most likely still there, just won't be read because they are corrupted. Should still be on your mail server as well. |

![]() | Thanks, Stuart. I will give DBFixit a try and report back. Yes, I'm sure I still have all the emails somewhere on my laptop and can resend them to the Treo. Thanks, Elise |

![]() | Stuart, Thanks again for suggesting DBFixIt - I downloaded it last night. It takes a day or so to get the code for the full-version. So far I have not been able to find a way to choose checking the VersaMail database - it didn't seem to be one of the databases listed. Hmm. But maybe once I can access the full-version that will change? Elise |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You have to press the "Other" button, and then look through all the various databases. Associations are not always obvious (as to which DB goes with which app, as the names are often abbreviated, etc.). There are some apps like Resco Explorer, SafeGuard, and Palm Internals that will tell you which files are associated with which apps, but that takes some additional effort. I think Versamail uses databases with MM in front of the name. Anyway, what I do is periodically (about once a quarter, unless I have problems) go through each database and check it for errors. That way I'm sure I've got whatever DB that may be causing the problem. As for the activation code, yeah that can take a couple days, unfortunately. The good thing though is that all of the Pimilico apps' money goes to gorilla preservation (really, no April Fools). Anyway, I sincerely hope that after purchasing this app that it fixes your problem. |
