![]() ![]() | ldlacyguam, See my earlier post on this thread regarding syncing with 2 computers. One PC needs to have conduits set up to Sync and, using the same HotSync ID, the other needs to have the conduits set to HandHeld Overrides PC. That's the only way I heard of the works, but that's with XP, Vista maybe a different story?

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I'm loosing my mine. I'm having an almost identical problem with my Treo 680. It won't sync my contacts or my calendar. I've uninstalled and reinstalled palm desktop (4.1.4E, from the website). I've deleted my only versamail account, which was imap, adding a dummy pop account. I've completely deleted all the synced profiled from my palmone directory on my PC (which is XP, btw) When I try to set calendar to "synchronize the files" in hotsync->custom, it sets ok. If I check the "set as default", then hotsync crashes. I've tried setting it without default, and syncing, but they still won't sync. I've tried setting it to "handheld overwrites desktop", but it still doesn't work. I've tried setting the versamail to "do nothing" on the PC side, and I've tried configuring, in conduits, on the palm, "email" to not run, by unchecking it. I don't WANT it to synchronize my email at all, just contacts, calendar and memo, but of course I can't delete the last versamail account. Nothing I've tried works. I'm seriously going crazy. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | welcome to treonauts lewisd glad you are here but sorry you are having problems. I am not sure how to solve your problem. It sounds like you've tried a lot of things. The worst I ever experienced with the palm os was duplicate entries which was easy to correct. Somebody more experiemnced than I with palm os should be able to help. Take a deep breath but do not hyperventilate |

![]() ![]() | It sounds like you've deleted a HotSync ID from the Palm Desktop and created a new one. But are you syncing Outlook or Palm Desktop with the current HotSync ID? If Outlook is involved then that changes the location of the contact syncing. If you have Outlook installed, check this folder in Outlook: View/Folder List/ then maybe Palm or PocketMirror. Inside that folder should be a file with your HotSync ID. Dbl click this file, check the date, it should be the last time you HotSynced. Your "old" ID files maybe there as well. Try dragging/saving these files outside Outlook. Then try to HotSync. If you complete an error free sync then check this folder again for a new ID file. If none exists then you should be synced with Palm Desktop, otherwise the Outlook has synced the contacts. Failed HotSyncs sometime corrupt these ID files and weird things happen. Let us know if this helps at all.

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | The windows computer my palm is being synced against is a fairly fresh install of windows (2-3 weeks ago), and I haven't even started outlook express on it, nor do I have outlook (non-express) installed. To the best of my knowledge, I'm not doing anything with outlook, and if I am, I certainly don't want to be. I do all my email through thunderbird, and have no desire to sync it with my palm. I have removed my hotsync id from palm desktop, in addition to uninstalling and reinstalling palm desktop. |
