My Butt Turns Off My Phone.

Like most guys I keep my 680 in my back pocket. The problem I'm having is when I sit down, sometimes, turns off my phone.

I have not only activated the keyguard but implemented a password as well. I have just found out that if my butt deactivates the keyguard it can also turn the radio off before the password is given.

Is there something I can do about this?

Welcome to Treonauts!!!

As for your dilemma.

I don't have any answers, other than the obvious...carry it in your front pocket. No, but seriously. I'd be afraid of breaking it when sitting down with it still in my back pocket. I always assumed that people who carried devices in their back pockets took them out just before sitting. I always did with my Razr...oh, well, I'm just saying.

Hopefully some one will come along with some helpful input, as I have not.

I would suggest a case as well as not carrying it in your back pocket.

I do remove it usually but (no pun) sometimes I don't. I just thought there might be a utility that would disable the radio button until I entered my password.... Which is initially what I thought it would do.

The funny thing is I have had many cells all of which got stuffed in my back pocket. As of date not one broke.

Maybe if you tried out Butler or Power Hero. I believe they each may have a trial version so you can test it for your needs and pleasure.

I find it funny that you said "like most guys"... I'd never, ever put a $100+ device in my back pocket.

In the process of selling my 650s. It hurts but at least they'll be getting used.

Cool

A very titilating title. See how nicely we're behaving? My 2 cents; buy a case with a belt clip. That way, you can wear it in the back or side, and not have unintended results.

My concern is the device or screen breaking. We all know how sensitive Palm digitizers can be over time (and sometimes not even a prolonged period). I'd hate to encourage such. I'd recommend a hard case, there are some really nice ones, I even considered Palm's hardcase.

As for Power Hero and Butler, I have them both. You can use Butler's keyguard to "block hard keys" which appears to be what you need...but again, please protect your device if you're going to keep it in your backpocket when sitting. The mere thought makes me anxious beyond measure!
