![]() ![]() | Wow thats really weird. Glad you're back up and running. You'd better put that back up in a glass case with break in emergency written on it! I wonder what it was though... ~ Steph

![]() | I'm still a little perplexed on the whole issue. Considering a restore fixed it I'm guessing a corruption of a file somewhere was the cause. My main concern is where the corruption came from?????? But the thing that makes the pissed about the situation is AT&T wanted me to buy a new phone (+ 2yr additional contract) and Palm wanted me to pay them $199 to fix the issue. Seems a little shady to me when a simple file issue was the problem. It could have been fixed without sending in the phone or buying a new one. Neither of them were willing to actually help me but more than willing to take my money......I'll just chalk it up to experience and move on after this contract and phone..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | How would Palm or AT&T know what the problem was? While it would have been nice if they were more willing to help, they can't know everything. My guess is they would have had you do a hard reset, which you'd think would have cleared it up. I can't understand why restoring from a backup fixed something that a hard reset didn't. |

![]() | Lotus....I'm not saying either of them should have know what the exact issue was. If that were the case then I would have expected to find the issue/fix on their website. My issue is that without any attempt to fix the issue they wanted me to shell out money to buy a new/replacement phone. Had they made an attempt at a fix, short of the basic canned response "hard reset", then maybe I wouldn't question their actions. Also, not sure if it matters, but I'm using NVBackup as my backup program...I know it's different than a lot of commercial programs but not too sure what differences actually exist. |
