Screen and front panel lights on & off - Treo Forum

Every now and then (maybe two ,three times a day, totally random) after use, the screen and keyboard lights come back on , then off, then on ... until the battery drains. Only way to stop is in Preferences and reset Power. But then it will happen later in the day, again. The Keyguard is on. I can't put the phone away (in holster) until I confirm that the lights are not coming back on. Very annoying. This is my third Treo 680 with the same problem. Any ideas??

My first thought is that you maybe have some third-party software causing a conflict and you keep loading it from Treo to Treo. Another thought is are you "hiding" your Bluetooth? If not, maybe something nearby is waking it up trying to connect.

Like Maris said, you maybe hotsyncing the problematic software from Treo to Treo. What you need to do is move the backup folder to another location. Then perform a hard reset on your phone. Test it for a day and see if the problem continues. If it doesn't, then you can begin to load the software from your "old" back up folder into the new one. Due it one app at a time and test it for a day or two before adding another app to the phone.

What do you mean hotsynching from Treo to Treo? I never comunicate with another Treo, but I do synch with my computers.
