![]() | I am about to upgrade from my old Treo 650 to a New Treo 680. From what I read I should be pleased. Is there a battery or Software update I read about which is a "must-have" ? I've had the phone 1 Day More importantly.... I am mid-way through the installation of my new software and have paused to insure no future problems. I don't want to install any extraneous files, half-installs or fragments from any previous synch's with my old phone the 650. I want to Synchronize with Outlook as I used to with the 650. I want to keep my E-mail, Contacts, Tasks, Calendar, Memo's and Vid & Pictures as they were. The Core Basics. With nothing additional for now. I do use a Bluetooth Headset. My Question is, If I completely delete the original install, I believe I will loose my Versamail settings, I have 5 Accounts set-up, and probably my pictures in the media directory, etc, am I correct? What I'd really like to know is, what are the CORE folders I should / can keep in the current install, before I synchronize, and can I delete the rest I don't need? Keeping my New Install, to the Default apps with my current GOOD Data? Am I headed in the right direction? Or is there a better way to do this? Thank you, Tripp |

![]() ![]() | You might want to start with a new User ID and just sync with Outlook. That way you'll just have the 680 software setup installed, but all your Contact, etc.. will be installed. Then you can Beam in your Memos, put the Video and Pics on a SD card, install whatever third party software and test it as needed. Must haves include: the "battery conditioning" as described in this forum, and since you're ATT/Cing, update the ROM to 1.09 again links in the forum.
