Using a MIDI file as a ringtone - Treo Forum

So I'm trying to use a MIDI file I found as a ringtone for my Treo 680. I've downloaded the file from the internet, uploaded it to a free upload site, and downloaded it to my palm, and the file doesn't play at all. If I try to hotsync the midi file to my treo, the palm quick install program says that there is no application on the handheld to handle this file. It also tries to add it to my SD card, it won't even let me try to add it directly to the handheld.

What am I doing wrong? I thought all the preinstalled ringtones on the treo were midi files? It should be able to just play it right? Or is there a program I need to download for it?

Try using a program like FileZ to copy the file directly to the internal memory from the SD card.
