![]() | Newbie User Questions Hello Everyone, I picked up a treo 680 about 3 months ago, and im just starting to use it in anger :-p, so i have a couple of questions for you all, im on vodafone uk, and the treo works fine, ive installed an ssh app (pssh), which is a must have for me, ive installed all of the palm updates and the ptunes update, and ive picked up a 2gb SD for it. Ive ordered a nokia 770 + 1gb RS-MMC from expansys (only £70!!!) in the uk, and im hoping that my laptop + 3g card can live in my bag more often. but the last thing im sorting out email, my better half uses a blackberry (which im really fond of), and ive noticed a Blackberry Connect Client is out for the Treo 680, but its AT&T only, and the download wont take my serial number, and i dont even know if this will work on vodafone uk. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the files, and if they will work with the vodafone blackberry internet services, i dont have a BES server and have little need for one, so i either need to sort out blackberry one the treo, or i need recommendations for getting my email quickly. but all in all the treo is an awesome handset, and i really want to make more use of it ![]() Cheers Chris |

![]() | I tried in vain to get the BB Connect client for my Treo when I had it, unfortunately I didn't have any luck. Recently I sold my Treo and went with an HTC TyTN which I was able to find BB Connect for, and it works flawlessley. Rogers in Canada has "My Mail" which is a type of Push email but didn't work as well as BB Connect does. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The BBC software for the 680 doesn't support BIS. Sucks I know. For the whole push function, I've switched to an IMAP email account that supports the IDLE command (AOL works well, and is free) and Chatter. I have one account set up for the pages I get at work (it saves me from carrying another thing on my belt) and I get my email faster than people get the pages on their pagers.
