How, or can I make different ringtones for individuals 680 - Treo Forum

I have a 680, and am now just realizing that I can only have 2 rintones assigned, known callers and unknown. I don't think that is very "high tech".

I had a slvr before this and that "stupid" phone could do it.

Any one w/ any ideas?

I just downloaded minitones hoping that would change the options, but not that I can tell

The Known Callers/Unknown Callers settings arn't ringtones, but rather groups. The ringtones can be found under the Sounds app. You can then assign a ringtone to both of these groups, and even use MiniTones to create your own. If you want to assign a particular ringtone to an individual, go to their contact file. You can then pick whatever ringtone you like to identify them as the caller!

Once you have some mp3's loaded on your memory card you can tag and send to the phone to use as ringtones. Once the mp3's are on the phone you can then go through and edit different contacts to have their own mp3 ringtone.

I think bgattis meant select. The easiest/fastest was to get them on your phone is to transfer them onto an SD card.
