| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Adding mp3 files to Ptunes I have been using "Switch" software to convert wav (audio) files to mp3 files, and then drag and drop the files into the expansion card window, using Palm QuickInstall. What happens is the Switch software will number the tracks 1-20 (for example), and this becomes the numbers used in the 680. If I then convert another album, and these are also numbered 1-20 say, when I drag and drop those, and hot-sync the 680, these new files replace the old ones, instead of being added as well. To add new files, I have to go into the Switch software window, and renumber them (say) 21-40. Its OK, but tedious. Every time I want to add a new series of songs, I have to number them from where I left off the last time. Does anyone know of a workaround for this. That is, apart from updating the Ptunes. It would also be nice if I could edit the album name, instead of it being called "unknown". These music tracks come off burned CDs, so there is no CD name to start with. With thanks, Mark |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Why don't you rip them in MP3 to begin with? The WAV to MP3 conversion is really an unnecessary step. Using a program like Musicmatch Jukebox or iTunes, you can rip into straight MP3 and they'll go online and look up the album info (track names, album title, artist etc.) provided they're original discs or exact copies of original discs. You may also want to get a card reader so you can just drag and drop songs, rather than syncing them. Dragging and dropping is a lot faster.

![]() | I used a card reader to transfer MP3 files to my new treo. But it does not seem to see them when I access them via P-tunes. Why could that be? I did them both as individual files and as a playlist, and neither worked. help! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Are they songs you ripped from CDs or songs your purchased from the iTunes Store? If you purchased them, they cannot be played by PTunes. If you ripped them from your own Cds, check and make sure it ripped them into MP3, and not AAC, because the version of PTunes included with the 680 cannot play AAC.

![]() | Do you know how to drag and drop files from a laptop to the SD card in 755p, without using a card reader? My laptop does not even see the SD card in windows explorer? Thanks. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | The 755p uses miniSD cards. Do you have an SD card slot on your laptop? If so, you can use the adapter that should have came with your miniSD card, and then your computer should see it.
