Able to dial a long distance phone card and pin number?

Hi, I just recently got my new Treo 680 and I must say, so far, I'm quite impressed with how easy it is to use and how functional it is.

I have a question about entering a long distance phone card number and having the phone enter the phone card number/pin number automatically. I found the "extra digits" field under after adding a speed dial number but I need to create pauses before automatically entering the card/pin number....any idea how to enter a pause!?

Thanks in advance!

A comma (,) is a one second pause. You can string them together for as long as you need.

If I remember right......the comma wouldn't work unless you programmed the number into a Favorite.

If I'm wrong, someone correct me please.

Your correct. IMO its a lot easier to set up a calling card number as a favorite. This way you do not have to put in the number string every time you wish to make a call on that card, even if its only a temporary use thing.
