sim card contacts - I hope I didn't mess this up

After getting my new 680, I needed to add and edit some numbers and info in my contact list. I couldn't edit or add anything to my contacts by going to SIM Book, so I added them to Palm Desktop and synced them to my 680. After doing this, I had multiple listing for the same contacts, so i deleted the contacts in my SIM Book section since they didn't have the correct contact info and my new additions from Palm Desktop did. Now when I look at SIM Book, it doesn't show the new contacts. Does this mean all of my new contacts are not on my SIM card?

The 680 doesn't store it's contacts on the SIM card but in it's internal memory. You can transfer them from to the SIM card but unless your planning on using the SIM in another phone there really isn't much point.

If you are, there should be a copy to SIM option.

Some day I might want to use my card in another phone. I'd like to have that option. Any idea where to look for a "copy to SIM Card" feature?

If you go into the Contacts app, select a contact and then press the menu key there should be an Export to SIM option

My phone just frooze and won't do anything. It won't accept calls and I can't even turn it off. What do I do now?

Soft reset. Pull the battery out, and put it back in.

Is this something I should expect? It's the first time it's happened to me since I've had this phone (1.5 weeks). The only 'extra' I installed is mini tones.

Remember that these are little computers, and sometimes they act as so. The occasional soft reset is no big deal, and it often clears up a slightly sluggish running Treo. Its a little like turning your pc off and on. As long as your not having to do them daily just to keep your phone running, you really shouldn't worry about it. Remember, this is the easiest and "lowest" form of reset. There are much more involved ones.

I don't mind having to do it every now and then. It hadn't happened before, so I wasn't sure what happened. I hope I don't have to do anything that's much more than a soft reset though!
