![]() | P Tunes and mini tones Is P Tunes for putting full mp3s in to listen to? If so, how do I add them to P Tunes? I want to also add mini tones and use clips from certain mp3s as ringtones and didn't know how to organize everything in P Tunes and mini tones. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | pTunes is a media player, while MiniTones is used to create MP3 ringtones. When you put music on your device or SD card, you can use pTunes to listen to them. Just point pTunes toward the file containing the audio you wish to listen to. Once your there it works just like any MP3 player. With MiniTones, it finds the files automatically and lists them. You can then select and edit them.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The SD card is the best place to store your music, and just about anything else you can. The less info there is in the main device memory, the less chance of files corrupting and your device going on the blink. I don't know what size card you have, but the 680 works great with the high capacity cards, and will even work with the new 8 gig SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards that are out. Back to point, if you have your music stored on the card you'll need to keep it in there once its playing. I wouldn't copy the music to the internal memory of the device because of the previously stated problems, and it would just take up WAY too much room. You'd only be able to have a few songs on there.

![]() | The above advice helped a lot. Thanks. I guess I'll keep this in the same thread instead of starting a new one. I've read here about conditioning the battery so it will last longer. What do I need to do to do that correctly? |
