![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Palm site says (866) 246-4852. Just curious, have you tried a hard reset yet, or is the phone bricked?

![]() | Darn it. I thought I looked every where on that site that made sense. Thanks for pointing it out. No, I haven't tried to reset. At this point I guess it couldn't hurt. But ------ I may wait until I can contact Palm. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I totally understand if you want to wait. Just an FYI though, if you read the thread concerning the update there are a few people who have had issues that a hard reset has fixed.

![]() | I read down to about 4 this afternoon CDT I'll check out the rest of the posts. I probably should go to bed, but I don't know if I can go without having my trusty Treo by my side ![]() |

![]() | by the way which thread(s) did you have in mind? so far found one user for whom a hard reset worked. If no particular one, I'm going to take a break. Started this mess about 4 hours ago. |

![]() | hope this works since I'm replying to myself. I decided what the heck. So I started with soft reset and everything is ok. No update, but everything seems to work. Now to show how stubborn (or stupid I am) I think I'll try again. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I wouldn't call it "stubborn". Sometimes, software is, well....stubborn. ![]() Give it another shot. IF your phone acts funny then do a hard reset. Here read this link: Update for treo 680 is out! As you can see, bgattis had to do a hard reset in order to get it to work. Also, when he did the hard resert, the update did not go away. |

![]() | Thanks comiken205-- It looks like the updater has hung in the same place as before (between 2/3 and 3/4 through Executing Updater). This is at about 10 minutes into the process. I'll let it run for another 30 minutes or so. If still hasn't progressed further I'll start over with a fresh download. I started the process and then remembered I had intended to refresh --- |
