Update:
I installed the update all my phone would do was turn off and on. Found the help section for the download and learned how to hard reset. Did that and then performed and sync. That was successful, so then tried the update again and this time it worked. My company's email service has been erased but I will reinstall that and then should be up to speed.
What you need to do is a hard reset on your Treo, and start all over again.

There doesn't seem to be any synching compatibiltiy between Treos and Tungstens, and any synching I've attempted always resulted in disasters such as you have described.

As far as battery life goes, I purchased an extended battery (with expanded back door) on ebay for around $30, which I use if I'm not going to be around any charging source for an extended period of time. Also, I've found Power Hero to be an invaluable tool in saving battery power.

Take a look around this forum, and you'll find countless other tips for saving battery power.

Good luck!

Frustrated with Upgrade

I installed the update on Mar 29. I thought I had it licked (Post#69) . Wrong . I think I am in the same place as WNewt1 (Post#33). I cannot get my Calender to Sync. I have tried EVERYTHING. I have reinstalled the 2.11 Upgrade 3 times (interestingly I never get the Error: "No Update Necessary" which is in the Palm directions). Each time I check and my phone has Firmware:RO1.91 Software:Treo680-2.11-ATT ... but the Update will still run again. I have gotten it to Sync about 3 times after Hard resets, restores, etc, etc. But it will fail the next time or two later. I am leaning to a reset and reinstall of Palm "vanilla" apps only (Post#42) and reinstall each of my 90+ Apps individually. I did this when I upgraded to my 680 a year and a half ago, and dread it (hugh time commitment ... BUT in retrospect, not as much time as I have already spent). Anyone with any options? Yo, WNewt1, did you get it fixed? PS. I have used Palm Support (Palm Chat and a real voice person) they appear to know less than I do.
