TomTom Nav6 w/ T680...

Hello,
I'm a newbie to this forum, but a long time Treo user...

I've recently purchased and installed TomTom Navigator6 on my Treo 680 and everything is working well, except that I can't seem to find an option in the Navigator application to keep the screen from dimming after 1-2 minutes. I looked into the Power options under Preferences on the Treo itself, but there is only "On a call, dim backlight after: ..." 30secs to 5mins.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
...Xeon

There should be an option to keep the back light on while plugged in, but don't hold me to that.

Thanks, but where would I find this option - under Navigator 6 or Preferences in Treo?

I would assume it would be in the Treo Preferences, unfortunately I'm not on a Palm OS Treo at the moment.

Under the prefs menu you can change the auto-dim from 15 sec to 3 min. I know that there are apps that allow for the screen to stay lit while using them, but I haven't used TomTom so I don't know if that particular application does. One would assume, but we all know what happens when we do that.....

I have TomTom on my 650 and don't experience the dimming. As long as the app is "running" the screen should not dimm. I think that would be a Treo preference.

If the app is running, then its a app specific preference. My alarm app does the same thing.
