| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I Need More Time To Answer Phone *Directions In Post* Device: 680 / Cingular Hello, I've equipped my 680 with several custom ringtones. I've got them installed and working. No problems there. The problem is that I usually can't answer my phone before the call is forwarded to voicemail. What I want to do is set the phone so that it rings longer (repeating/looping the ringtone if necessary) so that I have more time to answer my phone before the call is routed to VM. How can I do this? From searching this board I see that 750 owners are able to do what I want ( http://forum.treonauts.com/treo-mode...wer-750-a.html ). How can I do the same with my 680? Thanks. *MODERATOR EDIT* Read this post for info on changing the duration your phone rings before going to voicemail. Last edited by forgot; 05-22-2007 at 04:22 PM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't know of any preference setting where you can change how long your phone rings before it goes to voicemail. How long does yours ring before it goes to voicemail?

![]() | This is a network dependent feature. Call your provider and ask if it's possible to change the number of rings. If it's possible, they'll either do it, or give you the star code to do it from your phone. If they tell you it's not possible, you're SOL. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I am not saying they do or I am not saying they don't, but when I first set up my Sprint account, they gave me the option of rings before it went to voicemail. So, I am guessing that all networks have that set up for their customers. |

![]() | Actually not all networks offer that functionality so you're best to check with your provider to find out for sure. Rogers in Canada does not give their customers the option to change the number of rings. |

![]() | I could use something like this as well. When I had my old Razr I found a * code to type in and was able to move up the ringer from 4 rings to 6. But now with the Treo it is back to 4 Rings. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Contact you customer service reps. With Sprint it used to be *2 and the options were there. I will give it a try later and see if it is still accessible. |

![]() | You can try this or call CS You can use the following codes to control the delay from 5 to 30 seconds on any GSM phone: 1. To get the current call forwarding status, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone. 2. Write down the 10-digit number(ignore the +1), this is the phone number that your calls are currently being diverted to. 3. Enter **61*[number]*11*[delay]#[SEND] into your phone using the phone number (numbers only) as reported by the status & the delay can be set to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) seconds. 4. To verify that the settings are correct, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone. I hope this helps. |
