| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Treo 680 and Toyota Hybrid Bluetooth connectivity Greetings! I have a Treo 680 Unlocked GSM. I had a Toyota Prius with blue tooth car kit connectivity, and recently upgraded to a Toyota Camry Hybrid with bluetooth. When I try to connect my phone to the car, the phone most certainly recognizes the car, but the car does not "find" the phone. This also happened with the Prius. My previous phone was a Treo 650 unlocked GSM. I had the same problem until I installed a bluetooth upgrade available for the 650. Then it connected fine. I'm tempted to download the Treo 650 software into my 680, but am understandably wary. Anyone have similar experiences or ideas? Thanks! don |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I know that many people have had similer issues with many of the different built in BT car kits. I haven't heard of these specificaly though. Have to talked with your Toyota dealer to make sure the 680 is compatable with your new car?

![]() | I've had issues with my car and the Treo as well. I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra that has a bluetooth kit. I have tried multiple times to get the 680 and the car to talk to each other consistently. It's very hit and miss. I've never been able to receive calls (I can throw calls to voice mail, though) and dialing out is a game of chance most of the time. After searching various boards, it appears that not all bluetooth products use the same version of bluetooth and that causes problems. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Treo 680 with 2007 Prius I have posted on many sites about the same issue. I have a 2007 Prius, pkg. 4 and a Treo 680p with Cingular. I am successfully and consistently paired with the car and a Jabra JX10 headset. The Treo transfers between the car and headset. I can receive and make calls from the steering wheel, speed dial on the car MFD, voice dial with the Prius. The only problems I can't solve are incomplete transfer of the phonebook, inability to transfer single contacts and caller id consistently displays as "not supported". I have been obsessed with this for two weeks. Are the inconsistencies with people's experiences due to cell phone providers, firmware, package differences with the car like navigation vs no navigation? ![]() |

| I made my first post! ![]() | I have a 2003 BMW 530i that I installed the BT kit in. Found out after I bought the Treo that it was not compatible with the BMW system. Went to the Palm site and found a bunch of folks frustrated with the poor Bluetooth on this phone, in many different cars. Many had 650's before and were really pissed. Just got a Razor from AT&T that pairs with the car. Has the same version of BT in it. Frustrating!!! |

![]() | I've had a BMW X3 for about a year. Before I got a Treo 680 a few months ago I had been using a Razr with it. About a week ago both the hands free and BMW Assist stopped working. Then the car went dead (battery). BMW service told me that the Treo 680 is incompatible with their Bluetooth system and that it caused the handsfree module to be unable to go "to sleep" which caused the battery to die. This sounds like complete hogwash to me. How could my Treo corrupt the car's hand's free system? has anybody ever heard of such a thing? |

![]() | I was wondering if you've made any progress on your bluetooth issue. I just upgraded from a 650 to a 680 and suddenly I cannot use bluetooth in my Lexus. I had no trouble with the 650 and never required any additional assistance. When I pair the phone with the car, it says that the connection has been made but then when I try to make a call, it shows that the bluetooth device is out of range. This is a dealbreaker for me! |
