Treo 680 web browser not remembering passwords - Treo Forum

I am having trouble logging in to password protected websites. I visit the site, login and it takes it, I get the welcome back screen. Then when I click a password protected link, it asks me to log in again. Then repeats (welcome back, login, welcome back login) -- I'm going nuts!

These same sites worked fine on my Treo 650 but now with my new 680 - it's acting up.

Any suggestions will be helpful.

What do you have your cookie and cache settings set at?

My cookis are on (default on Blazer 4.5, Treo 680) and I have my cache set at 6MB, I don't think I can set a higher amound of cookie memory.

Try setting your memory limit to 8MB, and make sure the "clear cache on exit" box is not checked.

Just curious, is this a work site? Does it recognize that your on a mobile device?

I bumped it up to 8MB and cleared the cookies (only 2k) and tried again. Same results.

I login, it recognizes me and says welcome back, but when I click another link, it tells me to login again.

It's not a work website, its Cigar Aficionado, I have the same problem with eBay.

I'm having the same problem on a 680 with a password protected site. When I first logged in it allowed me to get my email (it's groupwise webaccess) but since then tells me my login is not current and I can't get past that. I've cleared the cache, not cleared the cache, dumped the cookies, kept the cookies. I have the cache set to 8 mb, had it set to 0, had it set to 4mb. Suggestions anyone?

Is anyone else having this problem. I cannot access websites that require my login and password. I still can't access these sites, and I'm not getting anywhere with Palm or Cingular.

Palm told me it was the chip - the G3 chip supposedly isn't remembering my password. This doesn't sound right to me. To recap, my Treo 650 logged in to these same websites without a problem, and now after upgrading to the 680, I can't access these same sites.

If anyone else is seeing this problem, please let me know - and if there is a solution.
