| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I, like many Treonauts, prefer the look of a naked 680. After all - it is such a beautifully designed thing. So I bought one of those crystal sandwich cases reviewed not long ago. The one that also comes in a black rubberized version. Once on, the case was beautiful. The case was beautiful because the phone is beautiful. But as Andrew said, it is a nightmare to get on. His directions about snapping order (top right, bottom right, top left, bottom left) were essential. Still, I lost two nails down to the quick in the process. The fingernails didn't hurt nearly as much as the first two, and the only two, scratches I've ever had on any phone. First tumble and the crystal case launched like a rocket in two directions and my 680 took a header. Unless there is a seriously trustworthy naked case, I'm sticking with my protective Vaja. I'm gonna be checking that invoice to see if I can return it. That's a serious design flaw that could cost you a Treo. |

![]() | I'm using the Seidio Super Slim case (Rubberized version) and although it's a bit tedious getting on it's worked flawlessly since I suited 'er up. In my opinion, the harder it is on and off, the more likely it is to stay put during a hard stop. |

No returns.......been there, done that. I've got the crystal case as well......honestly I don't mind it. The problem lies in the "Hold 'n Store" holster which I bought as well (the one which holds a 2nd SD card). This holster has caused me to drop my Treo more in a month than every other phone I've ever had COMBINED!!! As I found out, no returns or exchanges. Seidio will get no more money from me, nor will I EVER recommend them to others for any product what-so-ever. | |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | But does the rubberized version pop off in a tumble? My drop wasn't a big one. From inside a handbag pocket about 10 inches off the ground onto, ok, a very hard surface: Stone. But still. Rolling drop from inside two pockets and POW. No case. A rubberized case seems like it would not pop off. Crystal? It just flew. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I have the hybrid (half crystal, half rubberised) case. It has stayed intact despite three falls from waist height. The falls from waist height were due to the stupid Seidio holster that came with the case. It has a very weak grip on the TREO, which flings out at the slightest opportunity! |

![]() | If anyone's interested, I've put my crystal case and holster up for sale as I've purchased an Invisible Shield instead. |

![]() | My Treo took a dive off my coffee table this morning (about a 1 foot drop on to an area rug), and of course the crystal case EXPLODES across the room leaving my poor Treo left wondering what the hell happened. Loving my Treo as I do, and to prevent it from suffering any further trauma, the Crystal Case and Holster were relocated to the garbage. I'll just have to be careful with it until my Invisible Shield arrives. It's no wonder Seidio doesn't have a return policy......they don't want their crap either! |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I'm using the InvisiShield myself. My phone has only fallen when I took a spill roller skating with my date and when I first got it to test it out. Dropped it on concrete from waist high, and not a scratch on the phone or the shield. It doesn't cover the bottom corners of the battery cover but still I can use my treo with products that are designed for only naked Treos. |

![]() | I have an Invisible Shield on my iPod which has protected it since day 1. I dont' know why I didn't think about one for my Treo sooner. Invisible Shield is an amazing product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a sure fire method of protection for their portable devices. No I don't work for them or get any kind of kickback......I'm just a very satisfied customer. Too bad for Seidio, I can't say that about them..... |
