calendar/contacts will not sync from Treo 680 to Outlook

hey...i am havin the same crazy prbs with my palm treo 680 to sync with outlook so i can transfer all the data to my new treo pro

i got it synced perfectly with the palm desktop software and everything is there
but in order for it to sync with the windows mobile..(treo pro) it hav to thru outlook
im stuck, i did the uninstall reinstall, check sync with outlook over and over and nada. zip zero zilch

i am even thinkin of goin to buy a new pc..like omfg

so wat to do

anyone here got results or hav an idea how to approach it

i got d treo pro over 2 weeks and havnt started usin it cuz i want all the info out of the treo 680

well in thge user guide for most treos there is a section on migating from a plam os device to the device you are using. Did you read that before trying to migrate the data. Do you have a copy of outlook? If so what version. Is your data moved into outlook and correct? If so when you connect the pro to the desktop it should recognize the new device and the partnership and device name should be set up fairly automatically. I used the palm desktop for a while when I had a palmIIIc pda but switched to outlook and used it exclsuively through 2 wm pdas and transitioned through the 600 650 750 and now to the pro.

tell me what your procedures were as far as trying to get the data on outlook if you would so we can help you get the pro up and running. I know you are frustrated and its understable I have been there before when I switched to windows mobile back in the pda days.

ok hear what
i am movin from treo 680 to the treo pro
so far i have done the sync successfully with d treo 680 to palm desktop....i see eveything i hav both on the mobile and on my pc desktop

now.......

i hav tried syncing the treo 680 to outlook....and nothing.....from outlook to the treo pro it will go...but the info not storing in Microsoft Outlook 2003....so therefore im kaput with the pro

im gona get me a laptop this week and try it and if it dont work then be sure to hear my cries from this far

i want maybe more need all my info onto one mobile......d day my eyes set on treo pro ive been patient till i hav now i cant do shit...i mean its very functional..i got some really nice pocketpc freeware...so its jus to move my info and get jiggy wit it

i hav chosen the option to sync with outlook. honestly i tink its doin the sync but i cant find the info..cuz the logs sayin completed etc etc...

so tell me wats next

have you gone into setup and changed the hot sync from palm desktop to outlook and checked that you want "handheld to overwrite desktop" as opposed to do nothing or "desktop overwrites handheld"?

I am having a similar problem.While pictures, videos,contacts, calendar and tasks are selected in the application to sync menu. It only syncs non-exchange related tasks that are really old and probably in hidden files. I am on exchange as well and can't get the setup to work. That is why I thought I would resort to hotsync.

Help! A link or suggestion would be great

I get the following message when I try to sync my 680 with Outlook 2003. Any ideas why it "aborts"? Interestingly, I did not include the icons. I only cut and pasted the message.
