Screen Goes Blank While Making a Call - Treo Forum

The screen on my 680 has recently started going blank, as if the power is off, while I am making a call. Oftentimes, the call drops before its picked up by the party I am calling. I notice it more frequently when using the headset that came with the unit but it sometimes happens when I am not using the headset.

The only "nonstandard software" on the unit is minitones, but I haven't had the occasion to use it.

I did a search of the forum before posting this message but nothing came up. Any ideas what may be causing the problem?

Under user preferences / power options...set the "Auto power off" to 1min and the "dim screen while on call" to 30sec.

I had the auto power off set to 15sec, then 30 and I had the same issue. Sometimes the carrier doesnt connect the call fast enough and the screen powers off....so then you need to hit the red button to turn the screen on and disconnecting the call.

This will fix your issue.
