Xpress mail and Gmail - Treo Forum

Hello All,

I am getting a new error message for the last 2 days when connecting to my gmail account with Xpress mail. I have the mediamax account on my 680 and it has worked great for the last 2 weeks to check emails, web etc. The error message I am getting is S7300 server error, try again later. I reinstalled the Xpress and reset the device. When I spoke with "tech" support she told me it was because I have the mediamax account and that does not enable me to check my mail through Xpress. She stated that I could use the web, and do 200 text messages a month however. Soooo does anyone have a work around or a better program for downloading my messages to my device?

The Palm 680 comes with two different e-mail applications on it, so if you CAN use the regular e-mail app instead of Xpress, you should be able to get your mail directly. From what I remember, the mail application DOES default to leaving the mail on the server so you can still get all your messages on your computer(s).

Now, if only there were a good SPAM filter so the 1000+ spam messages a day would be auto-deleted, that would make my life a lot easier. As it stands now, I am tempted to set up a new e-mail address just for my Treo.

i have problems with the two apps that came iwth the phoen

why not use versamail? Turn on POP access in your gmail account and you are set.
