SD Card Problems - Treo Forum

Treo 680 wont recognize SD card. I have tried different cards. They all cant be bad. Besides one card works fine in my Palm TX. I have tried the suggestions at the Palm.com site to go to main application menu, select "Card Info" and then click the "No card Inseerted Menu". It didnt work.
Any suggestions?.........Taljit

Try some resets. There's also the possibility that you have a bad SD card reader. Have any worked for you, ever?

Yes, I did perform reset by removing the battery (treo 680) . No, none of the SD cards have worked for me on this Treo 680.

Hmmm...sounds to me like a defective device then.

Does any one know how do i go about replacing my unit. I purchased it through Cingular. Should I go to a Cingular store or do I have to deal with Plam?...

i'd contact cingular first. have you tired a hard reset on your 680?

Yes, I took the battery out and reinserted. That is the only reset I know possible on Treo 680.

remove the battery -> when the palm logo appears hold power/end until the black status bar fills and disappears, then release power/end -> when the erase data text appears, press up. do not play with your new toy until the formatting text has disappeared. after this is all done, go to the h/s icon and see if it says never synced. if not, try again.
