My 680 freezes when I answer an incoming call - Treo Forum

Any thoughts? It happens on & out of 3 calls when I reply using the touch screen button, the green, button, or the middle button.

I've had similar problem with my treo, even swapped for a new one and the same problem. it will occasionally hang when answering calls or even when I place calls. mine doesn't seem to happen as often, maybe 1/10 calls. I"ve tried using the phone after a hard reset and no 3rd party apps..same thing happens. Rogers (my carrier in Canada) is sending me a new SIMM card to see if that is causing the problem

I've noticed the same problem on my Treo 680 also from Rogers. My SIM card is approximately 4 years old now so I'd be interested in knowing if a new SIM card helps for you.

I have a new unlocked treo 680 in Denmark working on TDC network, freezing 1 of 10 incoming calls
i'm trying to find a system in it (when i am having alarms waiting or when it has to switch from app.panel to phone panel when incoming calls appear, but i can not yet see why it is freezing)
it is very frustrating. maybe i will go back to my old Sony Ericsson and my Tungsten T.

well, I'm on the rogers network and asked them to send me a brand new SIM card.. don't know why, but it does seem to work better. Since changing it 2 days ago, it hasn't hung yet..I'll keep you posted if I have a problem.

I contacted Rogers tech support about the problem this morning. They're sending me out a replacement Treo which I should have in 3-5 business days. (New, not refurbished.....I asked)

If that doesn't help the problem, then I'll try a new SIM card.

Will update if/when possible.

I dont know why, but the problem seems to have gone away. If it happens again, Ill try a new sim card. Treoparis

The SIM card is the most likely cause of the problems

I'm on my third Treo 680 now. Replaced the first one because sound quality was bad. Second one because it got stuck in headset mode and wouldn't allow me to talk without it. Second phone sometimes hung like you're describing. Now third one is doing it. Did it three times today. I'm in US and have an unlocked GSM phone. What could an older SIM card have to do with this?
