Outlook Calendar Duplicates - Treo Forum

When I set appointments with reminders in my treo 680 calendar, these appointments and reminders transfer to my outlook calendar on sync. So I get a reminder on my treo and then reminders when I open Outlook. - No problem so far.

Problem: Although I clear the appointment reminders in my treo as they happen, the fact that they have been cleared and are no longer necessary is not transferred over to the outlook appointments when I sync. Therefore, reminders I no longer need continue to come up when I open outlook.

My solution: I clear the reminders in outlook as well, but when I sync, this often causes duplicates to be created.

What I want: If I clear a reminder in Outlook OR on my phone, I want these two apps to play well together and tell the other that the reminder is cleared and sync properly.

Any suggestions? Other than: Handheld overwrites Outlook?

What conduit are you using to sync? I suggest you switch to Chapura Pocket Mirror (and possibly Chapura Key Suite).

Ok. I'm sure this isn't the answer to your question. I am using the software which came with the treo. Hotsync manager says it's version 6.0.1.

Is this the answer to your question or do I need to look somewhere else for what I'm using?

Your at the right place!

How do you have your Hotsync conduit set? Do you have it set to handheld overwrites desktop, or sync?

What my friends here are trying to tell is this. On your task manager, double click on the hotsync symbol. A panel will pop up. Click on custom. A box will pop up and then scroll down to where you see Calender (Outlook) and Contacts (Outlook). You will see to right, something that says, "syncronize the files". Click on Calender and then click on change. Here select, Handheld overwrites Desktop. Voila, (i think that is how you spell it

) Next time you delete a date from you handheld it will overwrite the desktop and you wont' have any more issues, I hope.
