680 resets when Internet is selected - Treo Forum

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently having this problem: when I select the internet, whether it be from the shortcut(s) or from the applications, most of the time it will cause the phone to reset. I am able to connect to the internet at times, but most of the time it just resets when I try. Then whenever I am able to connect (which happens after about five tries) and want to change to a different program, whether it be the phone app, messages or applications home (what ever), the 680 resets, every time.

I wasn't having this problem at all, up until a few days ago. I was able to get on and off the internet without a hitch. Before having this problem I hadn't installed any new programs or deleted any.

I've performed (a few times) soft and system resets. I'm reaching out for help before I go to a hard reset, but I think that may be my only other option.............any suggestions?

Perhaps it's a sim problem. Can you try the sim in another phone or try your friends sim in your phone?

Try looking up the error code and see what it says.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Maybe something is left over that is causing problems.

Cleared the cache........still the same problem. I'll try a friend's SIM tomorrow. Not sure where to look, for an error code.......the phone just resets every time when I try to change from the internet to any other app, without showing an error code........

If its a Cingular phone try pressing #*377 then the green send button. If its not, let us know what it is and we'll get you the right code.

It's one of Palm's (unlocked) phone's...............didn't get to try another SIM card yet......
