I am having a problem installing the palm software. Is there another program that will install applications my treo other than palm installer?

error 1607. somehting about a scripting error. I have been trying to fix it for an hour using xp support and palm support, but its getting annoying.

You could always email the applications to yourself, or transfer them on an SD card.

Hello fiskdog,

This is Kevin from Palm, Inc. It's beyond my expertise and don't know that I can offer much beyond what Technical support may have told you, but have you seen the Palm Knowledge Library article "'1607: Unable to Install Installshield Scripting Runtime' (when trying to install Palm Desktop)"? One or another of the steps listed there has helped resolve the issue for many. Step 3 is for TX and Z22, but 1,2 and 4-11 apply to your device.
