Help.....This phone is not making calls anymore...

Hey guys...I really need your help. First of all, let me tell you that I am not living in the States. I am from Costa Rica so it would be really hard to deal with Palm.

Today...I have been trying to make some calls and nobody can hear me...and also I am not able to hear anything. It is making the call...but there is no sound at all....And Also when I try to power the phone option in on.......it doesn't sound like usual.

I will really appreciate any advice....otherwise, I will get into troubles...

have you tried a reset of any type, hard or soft?

Try doing a soft reset by taking the battery out, then putting it back in.

I already tried with a soft reset.....Now I can see something strange....Today, I was listening music...then I tried to make a phone calll and It did not work...few minutes ago, I tried using the headsets that Palm sent me in the Music Pack...and I can make phone calls and hear when somebody is calling me..


It seems to be in headsets mode....forever.....I can not try a Hard Reset because I need to synchronize......What you do you think about this ?

try to sync the treo and then do a hard reset.

That is exaclty what I am going to do...I really appreciate your help....


I hope Hard Reset will fix the problem....It seems to be more a software than a hardware issue......kind of strange....it's in headsets mode......

Try making a call with the speaker phone enabled. If it only works on speaker phone, or when your headset is plugged in, then you've got something wrong with your headset plug. One solution is to insert the plug into the phone and take it out over and over until you get it to work, while another is a hard reset. I guess the final solution is return it to Palm for a new unit. Anyone else have any other solutions?

Finally, my Treo is working. Forgot, you were right !! I start plugging and unplug in the headset.........then it worked fine for 2 seconds. I tried again and now....everything is fine...something is wrong in the phone or maybe the headset....

Do you have some advise ? Should I avoid the use of this headsets ?........

There seems to be some kind of glich that makes the phone think it's still in headset mode. Not sure what causes it, but it can happen on the other Treo's as well. I would't stop using the headsets, but keep an eye on how often this is happening.
