SMS Issue on Treo 680 Unlocked

Hello everyone,

I share the same problem, under similar conditions.

I can send SMS, but I cannot receive them. I bought my phone in the carrier here in Mexico just 3 days ago.

I was hopping to find a solution here in the net, but from previous comments, my best guess it will be a hardware issue, since it is only on some unlocked 680´s. There isn´t much info as the battery issue, so maybe I just get a replacement and see how it goes.

I will come back to this thread and tell you how it went, or maybe to find a workaround.

Well, I was trying some preferences functions, and now I can receive SMS.
What I did:
Went to SMS screen, on Menu, options, preferences, under Messages tab:
third item: (in spanish: "Recibos SMS, it has two options: "Never", "When delivered". My phone had "Never" selected. Changed to "When Delivered" and tried receiving again.

I did receive the SMS. I saw this option before, but thought it was for sending a "receipt", as mail applications have.

It worked for me...

On the other hand, I still cannot find the way to get my previous messages to display on the 680.
