Comparison 680 vs. 750

A lot of people have been asking me what the differences are between the 700p and the 680 so i thought i would post this to shed some light.

I actually traded Treo's with a buddy of mine for three days. (He has a 700p) The differences are subtle but in my opinion have huge impact.

1. Palm OS: The 700p has OS 5.4 and the 680 has OS 5.4.9. Hence the new phone app, enchanced messaging, general speed (in my opinion) , faster Pic and Video view App, and revised alert indicator.

2. Form factor: 700p has an antenna, 680 none. Again in my opinion i prefer the antennaless Treo. As well as the 700p weighing 6.4 oz while the 680 weighs 5.5 oz

3. Bluetooth: This is probably a case specific scenario being that i have griped and griped about the Treo's BT capapbilities. I have a Jabra 250V and paired it with my buddies 700p and had to darn near hold it up to my ear to get clear sound. However with my 680 (funny story) I was sitting at the kitchen table (Treo on the table) and ran outside to talk to a neighbor. In the middle of my convo my BT goes off and i answer and get PERFECT reception. Mind you this is through the walls of the house and about 15 yards away. *Maybe I just got a good Treo .

4. SD cards: Being a heavy Pocket Tunes user the ability to use 4GB (and im hearing 8GB but havent tested myself) on the 680 is a huge benefit. The 700p doesnt have this capability.
