![]() | OK, so I've read what many of you have done. I see that some have disabled "IR Beaming", but I can't find anyplace on the Treo 680 to do that. So can someone explain how to turn that off. Thanks, Eric |

![]() | I did this procedure for both of my Palm OEM batteries, one showed an improvement, the other, dispite doing it 3 times, did not change its behavior. Oh well, 1 out of 2 ain't bad! |

![]() | it seems useless at all. i tried twice. as i unplugged, the power turned from 100% to 92%。maybe because i plugged it in too long, from 11p.m. to 7 p.m. 8 hours.i dont know, just feel useless, or too unlucky

![]() | I would try it one or two more times. I finally got my 2nd battery to behave properly. When I unplug it from the charger it goes from 100% to 99%. I don't think too long is the problem. Not sure why one of my batteries worked the first time and the other took more tries, they're both Palm OEM batteries. |

![]() | I'm on Rogers in Canada, one of my batteries came with my 680 the other I bought on line from a 3rd party vendor. They're identical Palm batteries. Are the Cingular (AT&T) batteries Palm batteries? Also, Seido now has a 1300 mah battery that's the same size as the original, a small upgrade from the 1200 OEM battery. |

![]() | Well, I gave this a try last night, as after a half day's use yesterday, my new 680 was at about 40%. When I went to put the SIM back in this AM, I left the charger connected. When it powered back on (radio off), it was at 90%... I'm letting it finish charging up to 100%, then I'm going to try using it... Or, should I let it finish, and do another charger-connected soft-reset? Is it possible there is just something flaky in the s/w in regards to the phone reading the battery's actual charge voltage, and stopping the charge process early? And the charger connected soft reset somehow resets this mess? Thoughts... |

![]() | I'm no expert so I should not advise you, I only followed the posted instructions precisely. I hope you get it worked out. Even with my success to date, some mornings my battery is only down to 90% after being on all night with my constant sync email program on and other mornings it's down to about 20%. Have not found out what's causing that. I try to remember to do a soft reset at the end of the day so everything is starting fresh and that seems to help with night time battery drain. |
