Well.. One say that after one minute removing the battery you put back the battery without SIM card.. and other say you have to put the SIM card first and then the battery.. before charging for 4 to 6 hours..

Which one is the right step?

Regards

Put the SIM card back in, but do not press any buttons. The point is to not use any of the charge the device is getting until it is fully charged. To this effect, make sure that you disable any applications that are designed to auto update every few hours.

If you put the SIM card.. doesn't the phone automatically start after you put back the battery?.. and what about incoming call and SMS?

Yeah, thats the thing. You can also do it without the SIM card, and avoid those problems. It will work either way.

I am having the same exact problem. Exactly.

Also, since beginning to use the Seidio extended battery I have noticed that my Treo 680 will randomly "stall" or "lock up." It lasts anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Sometimes it self corrects. Sometimes I have to do a soft reset. It wasn't happening very ofter, but lately it's been doing this several times a day. I have NO 3rd party apps on my Treo, FYI.

As with Rusty... any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I haven't seen 100% after charging overnight after a reset. Is there something else I need to do?
I tried battery out reset-charge twice and the result was about 90% after 7 hours charging .. I realized that before I did that I left about 10% battery capacity..

Maybe if I drain out completely before I do battery out reset-charge.. I'll get 100%..

I thought of that just last night. I drained it all the way to 0% and it forced me to shut down. I got up as far as 99% charge when I turned it on this morning and so far the battery has been great. I've made several calls, heaps of txt, some picture viewing and a couple of other bits and pieces. With the battery reset and the power saving tips, i'm still at 89% battery after all of todays use. Looks like it's working so far. Might give it another go during the week.

Greg

My experience is.. right after turning on the phone after 'battery out reset-charge'.. when I try to send SMS.. the screen freeze but the SMS sent succesfully.. but while the screen freeze it could send more than one same SMS..

Does anybody experience the same problem?.. It never happen before I did the 'battery out reset-charge'..

Regards

deprakos,

After doing the battery zero-reset, do a soft reset on your phone. Since you had to pull out the SIM card, maybe some conflict got started. I don't have a 680 but that sounds like a hiccup of the system. Let me know how that worked.
